テーマ【Polymers in our daily life: applications and challenges】 |

目的・到達目標 |
This course aims to gain basic knowledge about polymer science. We will understand polymer
definition, classification, characterization, major polymerization reactions, and
applications. We will discuss what are the challenges that accompany using these
indispensable materials in our daily life. Students will be strongly recommended to express
their personal opinions and ask questions during classes. The use of English for discussions
and presentations will be encouraged. |

1回：Orientation (基礎ゼミナールガイダンス)
2回：How to proceed with this basic course. [Self-introduction and grouping]
3－5回：Introductory and basic lectures
Polymer Definition, Classification, Characterization, Major Polymerization Reactions,
Applications, and Challenges.
6回：Group activities (Discussion for topics)
7回：How to design a better presentation using the PowerPoint program
8-9回：Group Discussion for Presentations
10－12回：Evaluation for the progress of the presentations through group discussion
13－14回：Final Presentation and Discussion

The grades will be determined by attendance and class attitude (discussion, participation
in surveys, and degree of contribution). A comprehensive evaluation of the group presentations and reports
including the quality and the understanding. |
